Persistent Lumps & Nodules: Seeking Diagnosis & Relief - Expert Advice
QuestionI have had surgury on my ears, finger and neck for lumps (nodules) that grow in the tissue. No one seems to give me any strong diagnosis. I have been to three different doctors with different opinions. I am tired of worring about what these are! Now they are starting to grow back again. I have devolped more in my throat area, which they were unable to take out because they would move and rest on my voice box. New growths are now devolping on my left ring finger. What should I do or who should I see? My grandmother just died of cancer this year. Grandma's cancer was detected too late, end stage 4 to be exact, and she only survived 5 months. I am 32 years old with a young family and am in need of answers or some sort of treatment. Please provide me with some suggestions. Thank you!

AnswerHi Dennis,
The best thing I can say is that these should have been sent off for a tissue diagnosis at the time that they were removed. THAT will give you the diagnosis. If none of these were sent off, you should have another removed and insist that it be sent for a pathologic diagnosis. There are any number of possibilities as to what these can be, that's why a tissue diagnosis is imperative.
