IBS, Shoulder Pain & Muscle Discomfort: Possible Causes & Relief

Question
I have been have gas and heartburn which is not too uncommon since I have IBS.  But I also have been having some right shoulder blade discompfort, it sometimes hurts when I take a deep breath.  My husband rubbed some muscle ache cream on it, I feel the pain in the middle of my shoulder blade (aprx) my husband says there is a knot there and that I just pulled something. It does sort of feel that way when I have the "pain" on deep breaths.
I don't have any real discompfort moving my shoulder, just when it is touched or sometimes when I take a deep breath. (usually the deep breath symptom is only when I have gas also)
I am worried it may be my gallbladder, my husband says that is way to high to be my gallbladder, what do you think?

Answer
I think that is probably a little high for GB disease, and usually GB disease has pain in the front radiating thru to the back.  This sounds like some trapezius muscle spasm, sometimes from a strain, sometimes from stress, sometimes from a lung problem.  Usually treated with anti-inflammatories, icepack, and the massage often helps.
