Understanding Echocardiogram Results: Mitral & Right Ventricle Measurements
QuestionHello,
I had a question about what the numbers could indicate on my new echo test which seemed to differ from my old echo test. I am not sure what the normal values are. It shows a mitral peak velocity of 3.39 whereas my old one (5 months ago) showed a peak of 1.1 . Also, my new one shows the Right Ventricle to be 2.3 cm whereas my old one shows 1.7cm . I was wondering what, if anything, could it be indicative of; or, what the normal values usually are. Thank you very much for your help! It is very kind and much appreciated.
AnswerI can't answer that question without a lot of other information. I would need the whole echo report along with the history of why you had an echo in the first place and then had to have one 5 months later... has to be taken into context.
sorry.....
