QuestionI have a couple of questions about antidepressants if you can help me. I started taking a low dose of lexapro about 5 days ago. I am taking 1/4 of a 10mg pill and it seems to help some. I have a lot of anxiety and some depression, which makes it hard for me to sleep at night, so that is one of the main reasons I started lexapro. Anyway, it is helping with the anxiety/depression, but I have also noticed that it is making me constipated and I am having frequent urination at night. I am just wondering if these symptoms usually go away after taking an antidepressant for a few weeks or if this would be a continuing problem while taking an antidepressant. Thanks for your help!
AnswerActually, the best sleep solution for many patients is to take magnesium oxide 500mg at dinner and at bedtime, PLUS a separate tab of calcium carbonate 500mg with Vit D at the same times but not in the same tablets.
For depression, we use 3000 mg of omega 3 before each meal, and take frozen if you are bothered by burping or taste of the fish oil capsules.
For tiredness, we use Vit B Complex at the B-50 level before each meal for quick response.
Of Course ask your doctors.
