QuestionI am a 32 year old female with two sons, one is 7 years old and the other is 3 years old. Recently, my 7 year old came home from school and said 2 of his classmates are out due to chickenpox. I am kind of worried because neither one of my children have ever had the chickenpox, but that is not what bothers me, is that I never had them either. Also, I have never had the chickenpox vaccine when I was a kid. In fact I have never had any of my childhood shots, but that's not the point. I was never aware of that until I changed doctors a couple years ago and they were sent my chart and they informed me that I never received any of my shots, they told me then they could give me my shots, but since I was past the age of 19 my insurace wouldn't pay for them, so of course I just left them go. But, with the chickenpox going around now, do you think it would be a good idea for me to get the varicella vaccine? Would it do me any good, and help prevent me from getting the chickenpox, or do you think I should just let it go and take the risk of getting chickenpox? I always heard it's a lot worse for adults to get it that it is for children. Thank you for for all your input on this. I keep looking at my son and checking him to make sure he doesn't have any red blotches yet. But I have to say I am still kind of worried.
AnswerYes, you each should get them plus do the following yourself to improve your resistance.
Our resistance is suppressed from the omega-6 plant oil toxicity from too much poultry, chips, peanut products, flax or gluten in your diet. see http://efaeducation.nih.gov so see how bad these are for your health.
If OK with your doctors, you could even take 1/2 Centrum Silver generic twice a day, omega-3 plant oil at 2000mg before meals and bedtime plus B-100 high potency B complex, plus 1000mg of Vit C, Calcium carbonate with Vit D, and magnesium oxide 250 mg; each 4 times a day,to improve resistance more.
