Can the Flu Be Spread Through the Mail? - Expert Advice

Here is a crazy question but l am in america and my wife is in the philippines. Is it possible for me to have the flu and give it to her through mail that l sent her. If this is not a question you can answer can you direct me to someone that may be able to answer it?

Influenza is a virus, airborne, and spread by droplets.  I cannot see how you could infect your wife by mail.

Many people call many viruses "the flu", but as far as I have ever heard, it would basically be impossible to spread by postal.

As always, please contact your doctor for information since he knows you and your history, but please rest assured your wife is safe.
