Understanding CT Scan Results for Abdominal Pain & Crohn's

Question
Well I have been having lower abdominal pain on my right side, and my docs worried about my crohns, appendix, etc so sent me to have a CT scan done. My abnormal result which explains pain was that I had mild thickening in my terminal ileum. I understand that it is mild, but it still seems odd since I have been on Remicade every 8 weeks for 2 years, and have been on 30mg of Methotrexate for almost a year. With these drugs shouldn't I be under control and in full remission...ideally? So I am wondering if considering surgery is too irrational or if I should just stick it out and continue my meds until I am in unbearable pain. I was hoping to wean off of my meds, but I guess that is now out of the question. Thanks so much!

Answer
remicaide is magical and a lot of the time there is full remission.... obviously not the case with you.  We worry about surgery because of crohn's healing improperly, but if pain is too bad then that will have to be considered.  It is not out of the question, only the last resort.... sometimes prednisone course for a few weeks?
