Chicken Pox Vaccine Effectiveness: Is Your Immunity Still Valid?

When I was little I was vaccinated for chicken pox, about 15 years ago. I know I am going to be exposed to it very soon is my vaccine still good and should it still protect me from getting the virus?

I don't think they had varivax 15 years ago....

But in general, the immunity slowly fades and might be gone.  You can have an antibody level checked (varicella zoster titre)  or can get Zostavax as an adult.  So it is hard to tell if you still have immunity.   I hope this helps.
