QuestionHi, I have had this problem all my life but it has gotten worse lately. First off, I am a 5'6 white female aged 22. I am 20 pounds overweight but not really fat. I am hot all the time. I don't sweat though really. I mean I sweat normally, not excessively but I always feel burning up. I keep the house at 69 degrees and still get unbearably hot but can't turn it down any cooler without freezing everyone else out. I have had my thyroid tested and it came back normal. What in the world is my problem and what can I do?
AnswerIf your thyroid is not abnormal, then that may be "the way you are."
I would see your regular doc and discuss... If I had someone coming in with this, I would do a workup and maybe a trial of low dose beta blockers might help somewhat.
I assume that you lead a good liftstyle otherwise, eating, exercise, etc.
