Vitamin Overdose: Safe Supplementation for Hair, Skin & Overall Health

How do I know if I am taking too many vitamins? I was planning on taking a multivitamin as well as a hair/skin/nails vitamin but I see that if I take both, I will getting sometimes as much as 3000 % daily value. Is this even good for me? I am 31 years old and have no health issues except I have thinning hair which got worse after I had a baby 9 months ago. So I am looking to take a hair/skin/nails supplement but I also need a multivitamin. I don't want to overload on anything. Do you have an advice for me?

You won't get into problems taking an extra vitamin but there is no need to.  Most vitamins are urinated out so some extra will do no good, just turn your urine bright yellow.  Most people remain deficient in Vitamin D-3 without supplementing 2000 IU's per day though, and not enough is in a regular multivitamin.....
