QuestionI have been taking the same birth control for 2 years, I started taking a thyroid med. per. by my doctor. I have switch my time of taking my birth control to the afternoons. but am only now noticing the side effects. I am 22 years old, and have beem with my first boyfriend for 10 months. We always use a condom, but I have been feeling very warm, and nauses as well as tender breast, for about 3 days. Nether of us are ready for kids, and I am praying that I am not pregnet. I took a test, it was negitive, but my next periode is not schedualed until the 4 of march. about 14 or so days away. I have high anxiety, and am loosing a lot of sleep, I need to know if I am pregnet.
AnswerHello, nervous,
Your question was in the question pool rather than addressed specifically to me, and I just saw it.
Taking a pregnancy test when you did wouldn't tend to show pregnancy that early. You should be getting your period right about now. If you don't get it, you should be able to test again in a couple of days, and it may show something. If not, wait a week and try again.
I don't know about the tender breasts, but feeling warm and nauseous could be a sign you have a stomach flu or something like that. It could be food poisoning, too. Switching your birth control to afternoons probably wouldn't make you vulnerable, but if you take an antibiotic, or certain other medications, it might not work. Condoms aren't reliable, either. If you want to avoid pregnancy, the best thing to do is abstain. Sex outside of marriage isn't in your best interests anyway. You could also catch a nasty disease if he has slept with anyone else.
Please let me know how you are doing, and please take care of yourself.
