Pelvic & Ovarian Pain: Causes, Relief & When to See a Doctor

Hi - thank you in advance for your thoughts.  I am a 31 yo mother of 3.  My youngest
Is 17 months old.  Over the last 2 weeks, I am experiencing a burning sensation in my ovaries.  
It is stronger on the left side, but it really hurts and does not go away with heat or massage.  Of
Course, being the worrywart that I am, I automatically assume I have ovarian cancer.  I am going to see
My internist tomorrow about this, but would love your thoughts.  I am about 2 weeks into my cycle - didn't know if this could have anything to do with ovulation?  Perhaps I have a cyst?  I have no idea. Thank you again for your time.

Ovarian cancer does not present with pain until it is very very advanced and when you look at pelvic pain in general, cancers are very low on the list.  Much higher are conditions such as urinary infections, uterine infections, ovarian cysts, endometriosis and many others...  mid cycle, you will ovulate and there can be burning pain.  Get it looked at but you should not lose sleep over ovarian ca.
