Upper & Lower Right Quadrant Pain: Causes & Relief
QuestionDear Doctor. I have for the last month been experincing pain in my upper right quadrant mostly at night. At the time it make me feel slightly sick. I don't have the pain all the time and it can be controlled to a point with ibprofen. The pain is usually occurs at night and when it wakes me I change position and get another pain in my lower right quadrant. This pain is sharp and feels like I am pulling something inside. If I don't move for a minute or so this pain disappears. I have also got this pain when standing up too quickly.
Can you please advise what it might be.
Many thanks
Grace
AnswerThe first answer is that this is a condition that requires an exam with a doctor..... trying to diagnose over the internet is just not doing you a great service.... I would think about stomach ulcers, gall bladder disease, possible appendicitis, ovary problems, pregnancy, urinary tract infection. It has been going on long enough.... time to get it checked.
