I am a 21 year old male, living in Bangladesh.
I have a fever for the past one and a half weeks.
The fever increases and decreases everyday from 98F-100.5F, but doesnt cross 101F.
With the onset of fever, I have a blocked and runny nose, moderate muscle aches throughout the body, coughs, fatigue and feelings of feverish. Overall I feel really bad.
Yesterday, at one week of fever, I started having moderate headaches in my forehead and on my right side of face and neck. The pain is throbbing and achy and seemed to start after I was lying, watching TV. It continued for 6-7 hours.
I never had headaches in my life, and dont have sinusitus, though I have always had runny and congested nose due to nasal polyps and adenoid.
I took Acetaminophen and it helps, but does not get rid of the fever.
My Question is--
1. Usually Flu, Common Cold resides withing 4-5 days. So what is my condition, that the temperature is fluctuating withing a small range and I am still not feeling well after 11 days?
AnswerCommon cold may last longer than 4-5 days, but 11 days seems a little long.
I would worry about this developing into pneumonia.... I would recommend that you get checked by a doctor and figure out exactly what the problem is so treatment, if necessary, can be administered.
