Hello Bet, firstly to update you and give you some useful info. I am now 21 wks pregnant and suffering Endo pain Most weeks even worse than before, i have been to the hospitaL numerous times to be checked. They say my Endo and scar tissue is so widespread that as the baby is growing, it is pressing and kicking on all the adheasions and scarring. So the pain is actually from the damage the Endo has done in the past. So much for a pain free 9 months. But the main thing is that my baby has survived.
I have a question for you. Can you be signed off sick with Endo or claim Incapacity benefit through it? I know i probably cant because i am pregnant but i would like to know for future reference. Its getting too hARD to keep working under this pain and especially at the mo, i am off more than at work. Look forward to your reply, With regards Lauren L
AnswerHi Lauren,
Great to hear from you. It's wonderful that you have a beautiful little baby on the way and I'm so happy for you but also am very sad to hear that you are suffering with endo pain.
As for your question-Can you be signed off sick with endo or claim incapacity benefit through it? I really don't know but have been curious myself and have on many occasions considered this route. My guess...lol First thing would be to request all of your medical records through the "Medical Information Bureau" PO Box 105, Essex Station, Boston, MA 02112. Hopefully this number hasn't been changed. 617-426-3660
