QuestionI have been searching for someone who specializes in treatment of endometriosis. Can you recommend anyone? I live in Michigan, between flint and lansing. Over the years I have been treated by a number of ob-gyns without much gain.
Do you know of any NEW treatments for this disease? I have been on lupron, the pill, had laser surgery and still have heavy periods and severe pain. The surgery helped for about one year, three years later and I can not tell it was ever done except the scars are still there.
AnswerHi Leah,
First I'd like to say that I feel for you as I myself have experienced much of the same symptoms. lol I wish there was a cure. The more surgeries-the more scar tissue is created. There is a way to slow down the heavy bleeding-I know this sounds strange-but drink lots of water..."water" flushes out a whole lot of the diseased tissue-thus slowing down the heavy periods.
As for treatments-Lupron is the BEST...
There is some new treatments out there. I just don't know if they actually work. lol
