QuestionQUESTION: is it safe for a 4th c/section as ive just found out im pregnant again after my 3rd c section i bled would this happen again my 3rd section was only in jan 07
ANSWER: Hello Jenny!
I am not sure what kind of bleeding you are referring to so it is a bit difficult to answer your question. Every cesarean section is major abdominal surgery and hence would have bleeding during the operation. I am not sure if you're referring to abnormal bleeding, excessive bleeding, bleeding afterwards, etc.
If you are curious as to the risks of multiple cesarean sections, here are some links for you:

Work closely with your doctor and approach him or her openly with any concerns you may have. He or she will be able to best address your situation and discuss what options are available given your current and prior health.
Please let me know if I can help you further or with anything else.
Best wishes,
Helen =)

QUESTION: 9hrs after my section i had a heavy bleed and had to go back to theatre to remove clots i was told this was rare for a section paitient to go through my last section 3rd was jan 07 i am 4wks pregnant now and i am concerned after such a short period of time would it be safe for me to be pregnant an have my forth section in march 08
AnswerAt this point, it would be best if you contacted your doctor as soon as possible to discuss this. There are medical diagnostics your doctor can do which will provide him or her with a more comprehensive look at the state of your womb and how well it has healed, as well as if there are any indications of potential problems. Your doctor may recommend having a c-section delivery before your baby fully reaches term or may offer other options to you (such as attempting a vaginal birth). There is really no way I can tell you how safe or unsafe your pregnancy will be- this would need to be assessed by a medical professional who has your medical history and can give you an exam. If you are concerned about your doctor's diagnosis, you may also want to seek a second opinion as well in order to get as much information as possible to make an informed decision.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Best wishes,
Helen =)
