Fertility Tracking & Conception Timeline: Understanding Your Cycle

Question
QUESTION: im 28week 4days my due date is on 1/6/08 im having a difficult time tracking date of ovulation and conception the first day of my period was 4/2/07 me and husband had intercourse April 12,15,17 on the 19th i cheated and use the pull out method could i got pregnant outside my home?

ANSWER: Because the encounter where you cheated did fall during days that you may have been fertile and because the sexual encounters were so close together, it is impossible for me to say who exactly the father of your child is. You most likely conceived between April 15th and 18th, which would put your husband as the father of your child. However, there is still a small possibility that the other man could be the father as well.

You have some very hard decisions ahead of you. I recommend you speak to a professional counselor and determine what course of action you should take.

Best wishes,
Helen =)

QUESTION: so what are the dates of ovulation from the most fertile to the leas that would lead to the day of conception becuse im fighting a battle wether i should tell my husband if the chances are slim or wait it out?

Answer
Without knowing your history of when exactly your ovulation falls within your cycle or having you chart your basal body temperature, it is nearly impossible for me to know at what point you were the most fertile.

I recommend you speak to a professional counselor or a trusted family advisor (such a spiritual religious leader/civic leader/etc.) regarding the course of action for you to take. In addition to pregnancy, there are other potential issues here as well. If you haven't gotten tested for sexually transmitted diseases, I recommend you do so at your next appointment. If you contracted a disease, you'll need to get this treated as soon as possible to protect yourself, your baby, and your husband.  In addition, your infidelity may be a sign of large issues within your marriage that need to be addressed before the baby is born.

The chances are low, but they are still there. I do not recommend waiting until the delivery and having your husband discover, for instance, that the baby has an incompatible blood type with his (thus proving he isn't the father). Please talk with a counselor or advisor as soon as you are able.

Best wishes and good luck!
Helen =)
