QuestionHi, I am 24 I have 1 child. I am not sure the date of my last peroid. I had sex on Dec. 22, on Jan 3 a positive pregnancy test. I had an ultrasound on Jan. 5 that showed a sac and said I was 5wk. On Jan 10 I had a follow-up u/s that showed heartbeat and I was 5wk. and 6 days. According to all the info I did not concieve on Dec. 22 but before that. What do you think the conception date is? My due date is Sept. 5
AnswerSince you do not know the date of your last period, we have to use the sonographic measurements. If you were 5 weeks on January 5, then your last period started on December 2 and you probably ovulated around December 15. You could have conceived if you had sex on December 14, 15, 16, or 17. Your due date is approximately September 8. (Remember, we count weeks gestation from the first day of your last period, not from the date of conception).
