ANSWER: If you have missed an expected period and are experiencing abdominal pain, you really need to see your gynecologist immediately.  An ectopic pregnancy is always a possibility, and could occur even with a negative pregnancy test.

QUESTION: i see a gyno just before i fell pregnant and i have been with the same person the whole time, could this pain be my cervix or has this healed now?
if you think i should see a gyno what do you suspect this is?
what happens if you have an ectopic pregnancy and how do they fix it?

Answer
This far out, your cervix should be completely closed and healed from your previous pregnancy and birth.  An ectopic pregnancy is any pregnancy that begins to grow outside the uterus.  This can be in the fallopian tubes, on the ovaries, or even floating in the abdomen.  It is a medical emergency because it can cause bleeding and even death if allowed to continue.  Ectopic pregnancies are usually removed with laparascopic surgery.  Only a doctor can confirm whether or not this is your problem, but because it is a possibility you really should get seen as soon as possible.
