ANSWER: Dear Christabel, if you check my previous answers here you will see that I ALWAYS refuse to give any detailed advice with regards to chemo therapy. To EVERYONE! I do not have all necessary information concerning you including lab. test results etc. Only your dr. has that! And your situation would hardly be helped by interference from an ill informed back seat driver! But my recommendation is that you DO ACCEPT chemo therapy in this situation as that is the safest way to go here! We are after all dealing with a potentially deadly disease! So you HAVE TO discuss this matter with your dr! This is my final decision!

QUESTION: Thanks a lot dear doctor. i will follow what you said and will go on with my chemo. Its herceptin and its cost which scares me. thats why i wanted to know how long will Herceptin be given for my case. I have sent you all my reports, i have a daughter of 13 years? Do you think she is at risk? My ER and PR are negative , only HER2 is positive. I will go ahead with my chemo. thanks a ton for your time.God bless you

AnswerAgain you SHOULD discuss this with your dr.! Yes since your hormonal receptor tests are negative there is no point in any (anti) hormonal therapy. Yes your daughter MAY have inherited a genetic disposition for developing breast cancer (but it is NOT certain) so she shoul be careful and have herself checked later in life! Good luck!
