Irregular Periods After Starting Birth Control: What to Know

Okay I have been on birth control for like 3 months now, and i have had my period when im supposed too..before i went on birth control, i had my period for 7 days..and when i got on the pill i had it for 5. But it kept coming at the regualr time(every 4 weeks), but i ended my period a couple weeks ago, and than the second week after ending my period i got my period again, when normally i get it every 4 weeks. and i have had it for 2 1/2 weeks now. Is there something wrong?

I'm sorry this is happening to you.  But there is no healthy benefit to taking the pill and many side effects are possible.  The pill is giving new messages to your body and there is now a conflict between what your normal natural hormones want to do and what the pill's artificial hormones want your body to do.  

you have two choices:  quit taking the pill and allow your body to recover or get used to the side effects.  The side effects could get worse or better over time. Your doctor will probably tell you that it will get better.
