Birth Control Pill Mix-Up: What To Do & Potential Risks
QuestionI've been under the impression that you should take your birth control pills in the order they are labelled on your pack. I took the third week instead of the first week, then realized my mistake and switched back to the first week. What should I do? Will this affect the efficiency of my pill? Could I get pregnant if I do this?
AnswerYou can't undo what you've done. I'm not aware that the pills are different during the different weeks of the package, except for the last week, which may be innert. I don't know about your pack or your brand. Back up protection would be a good idea when ever you make a mistake about the way you take your pills.
