Answer
Hello, Andy,

Inserting pills in the vagina is VERY DANGEROUS. A woman can develop toxic shock syndrome. Once symptoms start, a woman will be dead within hours. At that point, there is nothing anybody can do to save your life. It looks like you are past the danger for that at this point, but PLEASE, don't ever do that in the future. The pills depress a woman's immune system so that her body won't fight an infection.

Whether or not you are still pregnant depends on how far along you were when you took the pills. You haven't mentioned that. I need to know whether you measured from your last menstrual period, or from the day you think you conceived. The pills will only work for a very short time. The pills will usually cause bleeding regardless. Even if you take a pregnancy test at this point, it could still be positive even if you are not pregnant anymore (although it's not too likely at this point). If you made your appointment with the people who gave you the pills, don't go anywhere near that place. Find another doctor. The people who gave you the pills were very, very irresponsible and cannot be trusted. As far as I know, it's even illegal for anyone to tell a woman to take pills vaginally in the United States.

Do you still have any symptoms of pregnancy?

You can take a pregnancy test now, and if it is positive, take another in a week and see if it is weaker. The pills do disrupt a woman's hormonal balance, so you could get your period later. And yes, a delayed period is common (but definitely not normal). In the meantime, you could be fertile. Please do not take any more chances with your life. If you are not married, you need to stop having sex. You are taking horrible medical risks if you do, and not just from abortion; you can get a nasty disease as well. Your partner needs to respect your body and protect you; he will not suffer the medical consequences of abortion.

You need to take Vitamin D3 for the rest of your life. About 5000IU daily is a good place to start. You will need to have your blood tested periodically to make sure you're not getting too much. Ideally, you should have about 75 ng/ml.

Let me know if you need help finding a doctor. I can help with that. Please take care of yourself, and don't take any more chances with your life.
