Irregular Bleeding & Ovarian Cysts: Understanding Birth Control & Possible Causes

Hi my name is yasmine, I have been bleeding abnormally, and haved found out that I had a cyst on my ovaries, however I was put on birth control. I was on the patch at fist and they stop the patch and now on ortho tri cyclen lo, the second pill now cause me to bleed all through it,I am miserable don t know what to do.Is it because I have not taken the pill the same time every day (I took it diffrent time each day),or is it because of the cyst on my overies,or it is one of the side effects since this is my first month on it.I want to stop bleeding. I have been having heavy spottings since May 2 until now it is May 23,after this whole thing i have to go through my period again.Also don t know if this is a factor i had an abortion on March 17.

I'm sorry for all the misery you are having.  I really can't help you much, there are too many problems going on for me to get a clear picture of what direction to go.  I suggest you go to a good doctor, and get a good check up.  I hope you feel better soon.  The abortion may be a factor, I don't know.
