Unexpected Bleeding While on Birth Control: Causes & What to Do

i've been taking these pills since april of 2006, i was off the pill for 8 months before i started taking them again. last month halfway thru my pill pack i started bleeding, it lasted 4 20 days (not straight, i didnt bleed 3 days out of the whole time), it was very very light barely any cramping at all.. it started again this month, but only has lasted 3 days so far... i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend sept. 30 (i got my period 3 days after we had sex and just kept bleeding).... other symptoms i have is swollen tender breasts & some back pain. What is goin on with me?

Please check with your doctor as I'm not a medical professional. I'm a little worried about this condition. I've had several women telling me about this bleeding and it concerns me.  I advise you to talk to whoever prescribed the pills to you. It's possible that you are pregnant. Have you taken a test?
