Birth Control Side Effects: Dizziness and Breakthrough Bleeding - What to Do?

How can I tell if I am ellergic to my birth control pill I have been extremly dizzy in the last month and I have just started a new birth control pill about three months ago.  I am also having break through bleeding which I never had before.  I have an illness that allows me to only eat once a day and I keep blaming my dizziness on me not eating properly but even after I eat I am still really dizzy.

Hello Tanya,
I would recommend that you have a check up with your physician. This could be a side effect of your birth control pill. I don't recommend hormonal methods just because of this problem of side effects and health. I recommend condoms, Natural Family planning or a combination of those.
