Transitioning from Birth Control to Natural Cycle Tracking (BBT)
QuestionI have been taking the pill for about two years, but I'm finally sick of it and want to try the BBT method. I only stopped taking the pill about a week ago, and I was wondering, about how long should I expect it to take for my body to get back into its own rhythm? Also, my periods were regular before I started taking the pill, is it likely they will be regular right away, or will it take awhile? Thanks.
AnswerHi Becca,
Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so of course, I suggest that you talk to your physician about this. Where did you get the information about the BBT method? I can't really tell you when your body will become regular again. It could be fast or it could take a few weeks or months. It's hard to predict. I just found an article online that said it could take from 3 to 9 months to get a regular cycle again. Hope this helps and let me know how you are doing.
