Delayed Period on Birth Control: What to Expect
QuestionI have been on birth-control for two months and this time while taking the non-active pills I still have not started my period. Is is normal?
AnswerHi Kayla,
Yes, it is normal. Your period can arrive at any time during the inactive week and is not considered late. Birth control can make a period shorter and lighter and women can sometimes even skip a period. As long as you have been taking the pill correctly you are most likely not pregnant. If your period does not arrive by the time you start your next pack, you had sex this month, and you are considered about pregnancy then you can take a home test to ease your mind. If you miss 2 periods in a row, call your doctor to discuss.
I hope this helps. IF you have further questions let me know.
