QuestionHello, I'm 17 and have been having generally regular periods since I was 12. They haven't always been regular, although they usually come within a two days of my estimates. Lately though, they've been becoming a bit odd.
My last period, about 5 weeks ago was abnormally light, and so was the one before that. I should have started my period last week, and even have been having all symptoms of a period, but without the blood. Well, to be precise, I did have one day of very light bleeding that came later than I thought it would. I have had some cramping, but it has been light, however my mood swings have been much worse than usual. I have never had sex, if that helps you.
I could really use some advice on whether or not I need to get this checked out. Anyways, thanks for your time,
Kailonna
AnswerThe change in your periods probably means that you haven't ovulated for a few months, since ovulation is what causes normal periods. Not ovulating may be caused by stress, weight change, illness, or other things. You could give it some more time and see if your regular periods come back, or you could see your doctor to have it checked out. It probably depends on how bothersome it is for you. Best wishes.
