Triphasil to Melodene Switch: Light Periods & Potential Concerns - Seeking Advice

Question
"Hi there
I have been on Triphasil for about 2.5 years and recently a nurse at my local pharmacy urged me to try Melodene due to side effects i was having from the Triphasil.
It seemed to be just fine, the first month my period came as normal but last week i started my second period on melodene and it was very light. I barely noticed it was there, it was more like spotting. I also had no cramps and PMS which is what i usually go through. I also had sex a few days after my first period on melodene. Is this my body adjusting to the melodene or is there a chance of me being pregnant? Please could you advise?
Thanks so much!"

Answer
I thought I had already answered your question previously but can't find the response. I was saying that it's possible that your body is just adjusting to the different amount or substance of the hormones.
Also, you could be pregnant but I can't tell you for sure. You will have to see if you develop any other pregnancy symptoms or miss your next period. I would advise you to go to a pregnancy resource center and get a free test.
