Legal & Ethical Dilemmas: Liability, Reproductive Rights & Social Issues

Question
Bill,
If a person goes into a bar and gets drunk and has an accident they can sue the bartender, right?

If a woman gets pregnant and has an abortion why isn't the man just as responsible as the bartender?

I also think if its against the law to sell sex it should be against the law to try and buy it.

My next bone of contention is would men like women as group to legislate on their reproductive rights?  I am pro-life but I see alot of problems with the lack of proper sex education for young adults which would makes abortion  an issue. I know what the bible says but as a nation I would less than half go to any church or have any connection to biblical beliefs so the problem must be addressed from where it is.

Answer
Yes, whether right or wrong, a bartender can be sued.
Regarding the abortion question, the man is just as responsible for creating life (if the child is carried to outside the womb, and the man and woman are not married, the man can certainly be made responsible for child support).  Of the two biological parents though of an unborn child, only one can have the procedure done that will terminate the child's life.  I am not stating this as a means to put blame more on the female.
On the other issue you mentioned, trying to buy sex is illegal here and other places.  It is immoral, corruptive, and dangerous.
On you last issue, it's unfortunate that the government even needs to get involved in personal medical procedures of anyone, but as to women versus men's rights, as stated before only the woman carries the child and has the option of an abortion.
Sometimes things are not always equal, but then again, there are factors that make it so they cannot be.
Thanks for excellent questions.
