Understanding Spontaneous Abortion & Septate Uterus: Post-Abortion Recovery & Future Pregnancy

Dr ,i am married 23 year old girl .Before one week i was pregnant for 7 weeks.But its aborted itself started with bleeding.Now i am in rest.There was no need of D&C its gone by having some medicines.On scaning they found an abnormality in my uterus,its a spetate uterus.so there is a lot of chance for abortion.Dr i don't know what is this spetate uterus and also the problem due to this in future pregnency.how long i needed to take rest?Is there any problem having sex 2 weeks after abortion.i need your valuable information on these and i hope it soon.

A septate uterus means when your uterus was forming while you were in the womb, a band of tissue, called a septum, in the middle of your uterus. Since it lacks blood supply, that can interfere with the pregnancy recieving its nutrients.It's important to know that if you don't miscarry, you can still be at a higher risk of premature delivery.

After 2 weeks sex should be fine. Your risk of miscarrying future pregnancies is between 25-47%, from what I could find. They can perform surgery to help. You can speak with your doctor about that option.
