The Impact of Hormonal Birth Control on Fertilization: A Christian Perspective

Question
Why do so many doctors and health sites say about the pill and other hormanal birth control that "The hormones in the Pill can also sometimes affect the lining of the uterus, making it difficult for a fertilized egg to attach to the wall of the uterus." Is this a theory or a fact? And "if" it's just a theory yet to be proven true or false should we , Christians , still think about it because of the possibility of a fertilized egg being destroyed?

Thank you so much!!

Answer
I find the birth control pill and other forms of contraception puzzling, in that they all stop what is a natural process from occurring, and would God advocate them?  I am not Catholic, but can see from a Catholic perspective how we are interfering with what God gave us.  Then again, who is to say that people even in "Bible-days" did not use some sort of precations to have marital relations just be for intimacy somtimes and during those times avoid the chance of creating a child?  I do not have a definite answer, other than yes, we need to use our best judgment in dealing with issues.  I apologize that I do not have more information
specifically about the pill.  From a Christian perspective, I would have to believe that individuals need to look at the best means of birth control that does not violate what they believe are God's principles.
I would prefer to give you a more direct answer, but I hope this helps.
On a personal note, I do not see a problem with contraceptives (overall).
If you would like to discuss that or any other issues in the future, please contact me.
Have a good day.
