Understanding Bystander Apathy and its Societal Impact

Question
QUESTION: How can I use "bystanders apathy" in my essay about anti abortion?

ANSWER: I'm not sure I have the meaning of the term correct, but I will comment to the best of my ability.
Bystander apathy, or apathy in general, should be a deep concern of society.  When we get too focused on "I", "me", etc. (self-centered pursuits and interests) and do not look at creating a better society as a whole, we are missing a great, powerful chance at making the world a better place.
If we are just lackadaisacal (spelling?)in being concerned about important issues, abortion very much included, then we are out of the loop when it comes to decision-making on those issues that will affect numerous others in years to come.
We need to remain vocal and concerned about the issue of abortion, so that it does not become less and less heard.  We do not want the result to be a lack of interest which translates into a lack of importance, which would belie the true importance of the issue of abortion.
I hope this helps.

QUESTION: What are some good or common stereotypes that I can use to write for my persuasive essay?

Answer
Stereotypes seem to be of stern, hardnosed pro-lifers, who are uncaring and "butt in" other peoples' business where they do not belong.  This of course is an erroneous stereotype, although there are exceptions.
Pro-choice people are sometimes pictured as free-spirited, anti-moral.  Of course the truth is that they can have quite a few good principles that they follow, but being pro-abortion is not one of those.
