Pregnancy After Intercourse Without Ejaculation: What You Need to Know

Question
Dear Doctor,

I am writing you because I am very worried. I am just 21 and I am engaged and I had two times sex with my girlfriend but just for a short tie arrount 5 minutes. I didn't get out my sperm but I just want to know if a women is still bleeding (still didn't losse her virginity) can she get pregnant? All the things that come tho think me about pregnancy is that my girlfriend said me that she had a deadache for arrund one week and nothing else.

So I want to know all details to tell me if it is possible.

Best regards,
Gezim from kosovo

Answer
Dear Gezim,
It is unlikely but certainly possible that she can get pregnant in this situation.  A woman can get pregnant from "pre-cum" or discharge that happens before you ejaculate, or of course, the ejaculate.  You can check a pregnancy test around 10 days after the incident to see if it turns positive.
I hope this is helpful,
Doctor Joan
