Cytotec Bleeding & Abortion Success: What to Expect

Hi joan,I inserted 2pills of cytotec yesterday nite and noticed some bleeding n stooling and some heavy lumpy brownish thing coming out from my vagina.I did a vagina insert.and In d morning I bleed a little n afterwards I stil inserted 2pill and did not bleed at all.I thot I didnt do a proper insert I inserrted again at night and uptil now der is still no bleeding.am almost 4weeks from my last period.I want to know if the abortion was successfull.tanks

Did you have bloody stool? If so, you should contact your dr or clinic asap.

The only 100% way to know if the abortion was successful is to be examined by a medical professional. Strange bleeding patterns, however, aren't uncommon or abnormal. Yours doesn't even sound strange or unusual. It can sometimes take a bit for more bleeding to continue, but until you're able to see a doctor, there's no major reason to think your abortion wasn't successful.
