3 cm Dilated & Waiting: What to Expect During Labor?

I went to the doctors two days ago and was dilated to a three but still thick how long till i go into labor?

Congratulations on your baby!

There is no telling when you would go into labor. It is very possible to walk around 3 cm dilated for weeks, I did this myself years ago with my first child. The doctor kept telling me ANY MINUTE NOW and I walked around dilated like that for 3 weeks. Now if you dilate one more cm and get to 4 they will likely admit you and induce labor.

So, I wish I could tell you it would be today or tomorrow, and it COULD be, but there is no telling. On the bright side, that is 3 cm you do NOT have to do in labor and your body is definitely getting ready.
