Conceiving After Abortion: Timing & Emotional Considerations

How long would you recommend to wait to conceive after an abortion(vaccum)? Would anything bad happen if you get pregnant a month after the abortion? You can tell that I regret that decision. Thanks,

Dear Maria,
It is completely fine to try to conceive right away after a procedure under 12 weeks.  Emotionally, you might want to wait a month or two to make sure you really want to have a baby, and aren't just reacting to your prior decision - you don't want to put yourself in a difficult situation unnecessarily.  Medically, there is nothing to be concerned about.
