QuestionHi, Dr. Joan.
I would be glad to see you if I am in the area but Im not(SLC).
First of all thank you for your reply.
Is there a posibility it may have been punctured during the procedure by mistake? The doctor was ruff at that time becuase of my vagina was tight and he was trying to push in the spectrom from falling out? which it moved my body from the pressure.
For your curiosity my husband is stationed over sea that I had no sex after the procedure or before. I only get to see him twice a year.
I am soooo worried.
If this is something that I really need to take a look into? I have never had this experience before so I am thinking it maybe ok. And the bleeding I find in the internet information that it might be period. But I have had period all my life no Birth control pills taken so I know how my blood flows/cramp/color it is when it's my period. I am a person that takes care extra care with my body since this is my second life from getting hit by a drunk driver as a pedestrian before.
The sharp pain and cramping with the bleeding(really bright red colored) seems like it's not going to stop. It it is slowing down but the blood is still bright red and the cramp(canNOT sit straight/ stand more than 20 minutes)till this day(Jan 24th Surgical Procedure for 8 weeks). Good thing Im a house wife not working. Calling in the clinic says that my ultra sound looks clean and that they don't know why Im still having pain.
Thank you again for your concern. It really means alot to me when I am having difficulty emotionally and phsically.
Thank you so much.
AnswerDear Kim,
I don't think that the symptoms you are having would indicate a puncture to the uterus. This kind of pain only last for days, and heals quickly, like a bruise.
I am not at all concerned about the bleeding. It will eventually go away. It does not indicate a problem.
As far as the pain - did you take all of the antibiotics? How many days?
I still think it sounds like retained tissue. Sometimes in this situation, the ultrasound does not show much. Try taking ibuprofen 800 mg (4 tablets) every 6 hours for five days. Try not to miss any tablets. Try taking warm baths, and gently massage your lower belly, where your uterus is. This will stimulate it to contract. Try putting heat, with a heating pad several times a day. All of these things will help if there is a clot or tissue that needs to come out.
I hope this is helpful,
Doctor Joan
