Prolonged Bleeding After Abortion: What to Expect & When to Worry

Hello,
I took the abortion pill on the 19th of January 2008 and now, 26th of Feb I am still bleeding, after more than 30 days after  the abortion. I don't know if it's normal or not but I'm start getting worried. First I thought was the period, now after all those days I really do not know if there's something wrong. The clinic I went cannot give me any help if I don't go there and pay another $150 for sonogram and visit.
Can the bleeding last for so long?

So you need to go to a doctor, preferably one other than where you went, and find out if it really worked. You may have something left in your uterus. That will be dangerous for you. I'm sorry about the cost, but that's what you get into when you try this stuff. It's high doses of hormones, and our bodies are delicately balanced, and this can throw off the balance. So please go to a doctor as soon as possible. If the abortion wasn't completed, it is going to cost you more money, unfortunately. Good luck!
