QuestionHi - I had a medical abortion at eight weeks and am wondering how long it is likely I will test positive for on a pregnancy test? It is now four weeks after - should it be negative? Many thanks for your advice in advance.

Every woman is different as to when her period starts back up and when you would have a negative test. So I really can't tell you that. But I'm thinking that if you are 4 weeks after, it shouldn't be that much longer. Are you afraid that you are still pregnant or newly pregnant?
Of course, you can always ask your medical doctor this question but I don't think he/she would be able to tell much more than I could. But it might be reassuring to you to know that a medical person told you.
