Answer
Hi, christina,

It is possible that you are having stress enough not to have a period.

Are you familiar with fertile mucus? This is how you tell if you are fertile or not. Do you chart?

How about your nutrition? If you are a vegetarian, that could cause absence of periods. It depends on how extreme you are with it. Your body needs animal fat to make the hormones necessary to bring on a period. I had a family member who didn't have periods because she was a vegan. She was also not very healthy in other ways.

Abortion really does a lot of damage to a woman's body. It's really not possible to predict all the damage it can cause. In my opinion, there is no such thing as "normal" after an abortion. Eventually, a woman may get back to some semblance of normal, but the damage cannot be undone as far as I know. If you are too stressed out about this, the best thing to do is go to the doctor and let him run tests. You need to go to a decent doctor, and not the person who did the abortion. If you have difficulty finding a decent doctor, you have a couple of options. You can ask the people in your local La Leche League. Or you can go here:

http://pregnancycenters.org/

They have a list of over 5000 organizations and each can refer you to a decent doctor.

Please take care of yourself and don't take any more chances. If you need to talk further, I'll be here.
