Post-Abortion Regret & Seeking Counseling: A Personal Reflection

Question
i trust u're well. thank you for the response. i will be going back for counselling as i see there's still a long way to go. i went to taht clinic on sat, i jsut sat at the waiting room not knowing how to tell the people there how wrongthey were. on lady came sat next to me and i managed to share my stroy with her. she listened but she had made up her mind. i wa also not in a position to convince her further as the receptionist was close by. it is in my heart to tell people considering abortion that there is adoption as an option.

i never took time to think carefully before i made that decision, fear drove me. i could see that fear, the pain and the shame in tjose ladies. i sat there for about 20 mins and i walked out, i wanted to save at least 1 life. that has been my prayer after my experience.

my partner is still distant and i pray that somehow he gets counselling.

bye for now

Answer
Hello, samke,

You must have been crying when you wrote that. It's OK to cry. Really. You will have an opportunity to save lives. Give it time. Any time you want to go sit outside the facility, or even inside, and pray for the women there, feel free. You can do it quietly. You'd be amazed what prayer will do. If you don't feel comfortable, there are other women who can go with you. Let me know if you want to do that. You and your partner are in my prayers.

I have to go to bed now, but I'll write to you again soon. Take care. Bye.
