my LMP was on the first week of october, is it safe to take misoprostal at this stage and are there any side effects later in life

No it is not safe.  She may be 12 weeks pregnant based on a LMP of 10/7.  It is approved in the US up to 9 weeks pregnant.  You are a candidate for the EVA which is the Electrical Vacuum Aspiration.  You should have an Ultrasound to determine exactly how many weeks you are.
