QuestionHi, I am 20 years old and I am pregnant for 5weeks now. I have confirmed that I am pregnant after I had an ultrasound. Sadly because of financial problems I have decided to do a medical abortion because I cannot support this baby. I live in the philippines and abortion is illegal here.. i chose sublingual administration since vaginal admininstration of cytotec would increase the risk of me being prosecuted in my country.. I acquired 12 cytotec pills (200mcg each) from a local pharmacy that did not require any prescription. It doesnt look fake since the foil looked legit and the pills look totally identical as the ones i see on websites.
The problem is, i took the pills of 800mcg sublingually every 3hours for 3 doses a total of 12 cytotec 200mcg pills. I started the first dose at 9pm but its already past 12hours i still didnt have any bleeding.. I am scared what couldve gone wrong. It was said that i'm suppose to have bleeding 3-5hrs after the first dose but there was none and i finishd 3doses already with 3hours interval.. I cannot contact a doctor to perform surgical abortion because it is illegal in my country.. Please reply asap, i am already freaking out

First of all, Cytotec by itself doesn't always cause an abortion. Second, it's not very long since you took the pills, so no telling what might happen. I wish I could give you some encouraging word, but the best I can tell you is that you will have to wait and see what happens.
You took a huge quantity of those pills, and they are deadly and poisonous for a pregnant woman. At least you didn't take any vaginally. That is a lot more dangerous. One thing people never seem to think about when they think they cannot afford to have a baby is what a medical complication will cost. It can be very, very expensive. One of the reasons abortion is illegal there is because they care enough about women to try to protect them from abortion. A woman deserves better than abortion. Please do not take any more pills! Please.
If you are measuring your pregnancy from when you thought you conceived, and they actually saw something on the ultrasound, there is a very good chance all the Cytotec will do is make you very sick. If you start having extreme pain, you need medical help, because Cytotec can cause contractions so strong they'll rupture a woman's uterus. At that point, you would have to decide whether you prefer to die, or seek medical help in spite of the legal problems.If you start to bleed heavily, you will be in danger of bleeding to death. You need to make sure and eat foods that have red hot peppers in them, frequently, until the bleeding is under control. If it is still too heavy, you need to see a doctor. Given the possible risks, you will be better off planning to seek medical help anyway.
