Unexplained Table Shaking: Foot Pressure Points Explained

Question
Hey Abby...sorry if this question isn't entirely on-topic but I thought you might know something about it...

Awhile ago, I had taken off my shoes and pressed the middle of my foot into the corner of my table, and then it began shaking without any aid from me. I thought it was rather strange and I thought the bottom of your foot might have some sort of pressure point that causes this...Can you give me a little bit of info on it...

Sorry that this isn't the most relevant quesiton in the world, but I was curious...

Thanks,
Ray...

Answer
Hi Ray,

Feet do have a plethora of pressure points, both from a reflexology standpoint and trigger point standpoint-but I am not aware of any that should do such a thing. Reflexology is not my strong point, and the symptom you present is not one I recognize from my own experience. I'd suggest that you keep an eye on it, see if it happens again, with or without provocation, in any of the limbs--you might want to talk to your family doc and/or consult a reflexologist.  If you are having other odd symptoms to go along with this, definately see your doc. Otherwise, it does not sound particularily worrisome, and I would think that sharp corners in mid-foot aren't a great feeling-may have just been the right spot-nerve irritation-not sure. Sorry I can not be of more help to you. If you wish to have some references to find a reflexologist, write again and I'll ask around for you.
Happy holidays to you.
Abby
