QuestionI just had acrylic nails applied today, and I want to make sure they last as long as possible. I am most concerned about damaging my nails by doing dishes housework. How can I make my new nails last until they need to be filled in?
AnswerIt's not very dificult, simply treat your nails as jewels, not tools. Wear gloves when doing the dishes and other household chores, avoid aplying too much pressure on them, use the finger rather than the nails to suport objects, don't use them to srape, open can etc..
And use cuticle oil daily, preferably before going to bed, you can even use it more than once a day. The oil will keep the acrylic flexible allowing it to flex with the nail rather than breaking or separating.
