Clarite vs. Tammy Taylor Acrylic Prep: Pros, Cons & Alternatives

Question
Hey Amber, I was reading up on some questions people have had about acrylic and I came across an answer you had givin about preping the nail before applying the acrylic. That really helped me a lot. Although, I was wondering in your opinion, do you or have you ever used Clarite. I was wanting to use it because it is odorless, although, I used it on a couple of people and it did not seem to hold up. In the mean time, I bought Tammy Taylor and it seems to be stronger but I don't know if I feel that way because it is or because I am more cautious about my prep steps. Just wanting some opinoins on Clarite and whether I should give it another chance or just use Tammy Taylor and call it a day.

Answer
HI KILEY(:
I say try the clarite. It never hurts to try new systems. I always try new systems. I used to be afraid to but really how else will you know if you like it or not or if it is easier to use than say the system you are currently using. Tammy Taylor is great and I do not mind Clarite. I have heard quite a bit of feedback and from personal experience clarite does not hold up as well as some other brands. But try it for yourself. They sell great starter kits which gives you a chance to try the system at a lesser financial commitment. Be sure to use the proper brush and let me know what you think. I also would say try a different method like an acrylic dip system. See what you like and do not like but always keep an open mind(:
Good Luck
