Stronger Nails with Fiberglass Wraps: Best Alternatives & Application Tips

Question
I am wondering what you would recommend me to use that would keep the nails stronger when using this application. It seems that with minimal pressure the nails crack or chip. I would like to recommend this more to my clients as i believe that it would give them more flexibility with their nails, being that they are much easier to apply and soak off than other nail enhancements.

Answer
If you want your clients to have more flexibility, ditch the fabric and start using Brisa Gel or Retention+, and make sure they oil their nails no less than 2x per day.

The problem with Fiberglass resins is that ultimately they are NOT waterproof, and NOT very flexible at ALL.  They dry out, crack, chip, lift- all in all they just aren't good for longevity of an enhancement.

As for soaking them off... Do you need to soak them off that often?  And are you applying your liquid and powder too thickly?  If you apply them thinly, with the bulk of your product in the apex, then they would soak of in a good 20-30 minutes just fine.  And as for gel- they are so easy to file down, they aren't a big problem either if you have a good filing technique.

BUT- you really shouldn't be soaking off anything often, if your application and technique is the latest and greatest, there is no need to remove really EVER, unless the client has decided they don't want them anymore. ;)

If you think there is something you aren't getting that makes gel or liquid and powder seem difficult, I suggest contacting your wholesale supplier about getting to a class offered by many different professional product companies.

Good luck Terra!  And thanks for your question ;)
